Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of
Indonesia in cooperation with the Provincial Government and Regency / City in
North Maluku will host the International Festival Kie Raha (KIF) 2014. This
event will take place at Mall Senayan City, Jakarta, Indonesia on October 9 to
12 2014. This festival is the first time to promote tourism in this province.
The selected theme is "Experience the Wonders of North Maluku".

KIF 2014 organized to promote tourism products
and creative economy and cultural art from North Maluku province. The event is
expected to attract domestic and foreign travelers to visit this province.
North Maluku is not only rich in spices, but also the art of eastern and
maritime culture that has not been exposed. By this festival, is expected to
publish the wealth of North Maluku.
With a vigorous tourism promotion and active,
then the tourists visiting North Maluku can be pushed. According to data from
the ministry in Indonesia, the number of tourists visiting North Maluku during
the last three years from 2011-2013 has increased significantly. In 2011 there
were as many as 5,945 travelers. In 2012 increased by 15,500 tourists. This
figure also continued to increase to reach 37 186 in 2013.
Implementation of KIF 2014 will be celebrated
with cultural art performances from 9 districts / cities in the Moluccas:
Ternate, Tidore, North Halmahera, Central Halmahera, East Halmahera, Sula
District, West Halmahera and Morotai. Attractions shown include dances,
traditional music attractions, songs, fashion show local customs, local special
costumes, culinary products, product exhibitions and seminars at the potential
development of tourism.

Kie Raha has meaningful name that represents
the four mountains that overshadow the four sultanates of North Maluku once the
Ternate, Tidore, Bacan and Jailolo. These four areas are now scattered
throughout the district / town in North Maluku and has contributed to the
development area. For the future, KIF 2014 will be held in each district / town
in North Maluku alternately from year to year.
North Maluku God is endowed with beautiful
natural charm, has an interesting cultural arts and culinary specialties. There
is potential for marine waters that so pretty in Gura Ici and WiDi Island in
the South District, Oto Island in Central Halmahera, Sula Strait Capalulu in
the District that has a flow of the world's number two, underwater volcanoes
and underwater museum in North Halmahera , as well as relics of World War II
were still stored at Morotai.
In addition, the North Maluku is also famous
for its fauna bird named Bidadari Bird. Bidadari bird is beautiful birds with
beautiful feathers so it looks like wearing a tie just like an angel. Spicy
food lovers are also spoiled here with various kinds of sauce, such as sambal
roa, walnut sauce, chili papaya and much more. No wonder if the province is
often called Dabu-Dabu Thousand region.
