Trade
Minister of Indonesian Republic, Muhammad Lutfi, today will open the largest
trade exhibition of Indonesia, namely the Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 29th.
The exhibition will be held on 8 to 12 October 2014, from 10.00 to 18.00 pm, at
the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo), Kemayoran, Jakarta, Indonesia. TEI 2014
will be held in an area of 40,000 m2 and will be followed by about
2,000 exhibitors. In this event, the Indonesian government aims to get as many
as 10,000 visitors.
TEI theme
raised this year is "Towards Green Business". Theme is consistent
with the concept that was issued by Indonesian President Susilo Bambang
Yudhoyono (SBY) at previous 2nd Summit, Pacific Island Development
Forum in Fiji Islands. In that occasion, the President stated that the green
economy is very important for Indonesia's resilience, as well as being the
promotion of environmentally friendly economic progress.
Products
on display consist of the main export commodities, export commodities
prospective, and other export products. In addition to the main product and
prospective, will show also the product of field services and skilled labor,
such as construction services, professional services, and hospitality. Related
to the theme this year, the products will emphasize the continuity of the
company to run a green business. Green business is that the products are made
with attention to aspects of the social environment. With this concept, the products
not only meet the standards of function and aesthetics, but also have more
benefits for the management and preservation of the environment wisely.

Application
of environmentally friendly technologies and local knowledge is the power of
its own and an added value to the competitiveness of Indonesian export
products. With downstream strategy and mastery of appropriate technology of
international standard, is expected to support the development of Indonesia's
trade sector forward. Through TEI 2014, Indonesia hopes to get a chance in the
development of access and export market opportunities that are more open to
non-traditional areas, such as Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe,
and Latin America.
Earlier,
Deputy Minister of Trade Krisnamurthi said that the Indonesian government has
made a green economy as one of the important pillars of national sustainable
development. Thus, TEI 2014 emphasizes environmentally friendly products in
Indonesia. TEI 2014 will promote the potential and diversity of products and
services existence of Indonesia as a quality product and environmentally. Then,
this strategy is able to sustain the economy through an increase in the value
of non-oil exports.
In 2014
zoning TEI products will also be featured Pride of Indonesia and ASEAN Pavilion.
Pride of Indonesia Pavilion will feature products pride of Indonesia, local
brands that have received global markets, including strategic industries,
hi-tech, manufacturing, natural resource-based products, the winner
Primaniyarta 2014, the products of creative industries, and SMEs seed. While
ASEAN Pavilion is the form of the information booth representatives of ASEAN
countries in order to welcome the ASEAN Economic Community in 2015.
