Increasing system of coffee cultivation surely can contribute to people in underdeveloped areas. However, they have not touched the coffee processing industry. In addition, modern coffee processing equipment also has a very expensive price.

It was submitted by the Deputy Assistant affairs Ministry of Rural Development Investments Indonesia, Endang Supriani. She said that some regions or districts have the potential lagging coffee seed with high taste like coffee Arabica and Robusta. At least, there are 183 districts that have the potential lagging regions superior coffee or specialty coffee. She said the productivity of coffee-producing regions lagging in general is very low due to several factors, such as lack of human resources and post-harvest processing of coffee.

Due to low productivity, then this makes the results of Indonesian coffee only reached 0.7 to 0.8 tons per hectare per year. Meanwhile, Vietnam who has learned its coffee cultivation in Indonesia can produce coffee per year 2.5 tons per hectare. This value would have a huge difference. Even though, Indonesia has the larger area that able to produce coffee.

The Indonesian government has homework to fix it. The potential is very large.
