Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, Bali, North Sulawesi, Maluku, Central
Sulawesi, Gorontalo, North Maluku, Maluku and West Papua. This region is

has become the largest producer of South Sea Pearl in the world since 2005.
Indonesia's main export destination countries include South Korea, Japan,
Australia, Hong Kong, France, Thailand, India, Switzerland, and New Zealand.
Indonesia to meet up
to 43 percent of the total needs of the pearl world with an export value has
touched the figure of 29 million dollars. Only, the excellence of south sea
pearls of Indonesia are based on quantity. In quality, south sea pearls of Indonesia

world, but this value represents only 2.07% of the total value of world trade in
pearls.

However, Indonesia
still has the potential to further increase the value of its exports. This is
because Indonesia has supporting factors such as area of cultivation, labor,

technology, though still not able to produce pearls with an average of the best
quality. Therefore, at this time, Indonesia is trying to maximize the business
