To introduce and preserve the art of batik,
Batik Nusantara Week 6th ready held at Cultural Center Jetayu, Pekalongan,
Central Java, Indonesia on October 8 to 12 2014. This archipelago batik event
held for a full week by displaying a variety of attractions including batik
exhibitions from all over Indonesia, fashion shows, culinary festival
Indonesia, batik lanterns festival, national gathering of batik, and of course
cultural performances. Interestingly, in this event there will also be a
competition of making batik for office uniform.

in Indonesia. Typical batik derived from this city is a coastal motif patterned
unique and vibrant colors combined. If the batik from Solo and Yogyakarta
palace have the dominant color of brown, yellow and black, the Pekalongan batik

cloth.
