Batik Nusantara Week 6th, Indonesia-October 8 to 12 2014

To introduce and preserve the art of batik, Batik Nusantara Week 6th ready held at Cultural Center Jetayu, Pekalongan, Central Java, Indonesia on October 8 to 12 2014. This archipelago batik event held for a full week by displaying a variety of attractions including batik exhibitions from all over Indonesia, fashion shows, culinary festival Indonesia, batik lanterns festival, national gathering of batik, and of course cultural performances. Interestingly, in this event there will also be a competition of making batik for office uniform.

Batik exhibition will present 140 booths consisting of large and small businesses from all parts of Indonesia. Thus, the visitors can enjoy the batik fabric quality with low price that is specifically held in Pekalongan Great Sale which has been starting since two months ago.

Pekalongan is one of the famous cities batik in Indonesia. Typical batik derived from this city is a coastal motif patterned unique and vibrant colors combined.
